rqmicro AG
rqmicro AG is a life sciences and tech startup, founded in 2013 as a spin-off from ETH Zurich (Switzerland). rqmicro is domiciled in Schlieren, Switzerland, and operates a representative office in Shanghai, China.
Since its inception, rqmicro has invested significant resources in the development of its unique and proprietary platform for rapid detection of bacteria in water.
rqmicro aims to protect consumers worldwide from microbiologically contaminated water. Our first commercial application focuses on the detection of Legionella bacteria, the most relevant threat in drinking water systems.
LiBCycle GmbH
LiBCycle - Your partner for compliant lithium-ion battery transports in Europe.
We offer a full service including logistics, specially developed packaging and recycling. Our customers only need to tell us where a battery needs to be transported and we take care of the rest.
EnginZyme
EnginZyme is a Swedish startup with the vision to make the chemical industry green by unlocking the potential in enzymes. Our cell-free biomanufacturing platform is created through a best-in-class approach that combines the breadth and power of biology and the efficiencies of the chemical industry. By replacing traditional fossil-based manufacturing with a cell-free technology platform, we seek to play a key role in solving one of the fundamental challenges of our time – how to produce better, greener, and cheaper products that we use every day.
Our technology gives us a unique position to address many challenges facing the chemical industry in the 21st century. In particular, our ambition is to play a key role in tackling climate change — both by accelerating the industry’s transition to sustainability, and by innovating solutions for other industries through novel chemical products. We’re funded by well-known investors, have been recognised as Technology Pioneer by the World Economic Forum, and employ some of the best researchers in their respective fields.
Myriade
Myriade is a French company created in 2017 that develops an innovative nanoscale imaging technology.
UpNano GmbH
The NanoOne 3D printing system developed by UpNano enables our users from different sectors to fabricate high-resolution microstructured parts for their specific applications in a cost-efficient manner, beginning already with the very first produced batch. The variety of usage of this system ranges from electronics to microoptics and biocompatible applications in cell research.

■Powerful
High power laser for mesoscale fabrication and biological applications.
Electrochaea GmbH
Electrochaea GmbH offers a nationally and internationally patented power-to-gas key technology based on biocatalysis, which recycles CO2 cost-effectively and at the same time produces biological methane that can be stored and used as required from excess electrical energy. The first pilot plant used on an industrial scale is successfully operating in Denmark. Plants with an output of more than one gigawatt are planned for 2025. 23 employees work for Electrochaea in Denmark and at the headquarters in Munich-Planegg.
traceless materials GmbH
traceless materials GmbH is a female-founded circular bioeconomy start-up founded in 2020, offering a holistically sustainable alternative to conventional (bio)plastics solving global plastic pollution. For the first time, agricultural industry by-products are used to produce storage-stable films, rigid materials and coatings that provide the beneficial properties of plastics while being compostable in the environment. While bio-based, traceless materials don’t compete with food production, preventing land-use-change. In contrast to conventional (bio)plastics, they don’t need any harmful additives, solvents or chemicals and have up to 87% lower CO2 emissions. Being neither chemically modified nor synthetically polymerized, traceless materials are expected not to fall under the EU Plastics Directive. Already competitive in quality to conventional plastics and bioplastics, on industrial production scale the materials will also be price competitive to conventional plastics. Be part of the solution – not pollution!
E-Lyte Innovations GmbH
Our company was founded in May 2019, as a start-up, from the battery research center MEET of the Westfälische Wilhelms-Universität (WWU) Münster. Furthermore, E-Lyte is funded by the pre-seed program EXIST Forschungstransfer, which is funded by the German Federal Ministry for Energy and Economics and the European Social Fund. E-Lyte Innovations GmbH develops and produces pioneering electrolytes for modern energy storage technologies in Germany with regard to specific requirements.
refuel.green consulting & technologies GmbH
refuel.green is one of the world's most innovative start-ups in the field of e-fuels. Founded in Dresden in 2021, the team of ca. 10 engineers and entrepreneurs is committed to making a decisive contribution to a CO2-neutral global economy. Specifically, the innovative, plasmacatalysis-based "NextGen-PtX Reactor Unit" is being developed, built and marketed. In line with its holistic value proposition, the refuel.green GmbH also supports its customers with consulting on the technically and economically optimal integration of the units into existing production plants or into new projects. Thanks to this overall offer, refineries, for example, can convert their business operations, which are currently dependent on fossil crude oil, to the production of CO2-neutral, renewable e-fuels in a particularly competitive manner.
CompActive GmbH
CompActive designs and manufactures active components and systems based on shape memory alloys (SMA). With our actuator principle, we enable adjustment functions that can be implemented with minimal installation space, minimum weight and with a gap-free and kink-free contour. As a result, the technology offers new opportunities for innovative applications in a cross-industry environment. CompActive provides all steps from idea to modules for series application from feasibility studies, setup of functional prototypes and detailed design to manufacturing of active modules.
