Battery Dynamics GmbH

The goal of Battery Dynamics GmbH is to help researchers and developers develop longer-lasting battery materials, high-performance battery systems and optimized operating strategies, such as fast-charging methods, in a fraction of the time previously required. Battery Dynamics GmbH makes it possible to reduce the effort required for lifetime measurement series by a factor of 5 to 10 and at the same time gain more precise insights into the aging reactions occurring inside the batteries.

For this purpose, Battery Dynamics GmbH manufactures high-precision test equipment that enables measurements based on the principle of High Precision Coulometry, even for large-format battery cells and dynamic load profiles. In combination with evaluation methods specially adapted to battery aging, significant time savings can be achieved in lifetime testing, uncertainties in lifetime predictions can be reduced and various side reactions in the battery can be identified without a cell opening.

Multiphoton Optics GmbH

Multiphoton Optics GmbH, a wholly owned subsidiary of Heidelberg Instruments Mikrotechnik GmbH, is an innovative solution provider and global manufacturer for 3D Laser Lithography Equipment for additive, subtractive and ablative manufacturing processes based on Two-Photon-Polymerization (TPP) technology. This disruptive technology enables the production of complex functional structures in micro-optics and micro-system technology, optical packaging, micro-mechanics, and biomedical engineering.

The 3D printing plattform enables the highly-precise production of complex functional structures with the highest throughput in one single process step. Other advantages are the resolution in the sub-micron range, the high quality of optical components, accuracy and scalability, integration into nano- and micro-fabrication processes, printing of optical components, and on-device printing: structures can be printed directly on active (LEDs, photodiodes, EELs, VCSELs) or passive (fibers, irregular substrates) components.

The realization of completely new designs, the further miniaturization and the rationalization of manufacturing processes significantly accelerate the market launch of products and, thus, unlock significant cost savings for customers.

Main activities: • 3D Lithography via Two-Photon Polymerization (TPP) • Optical Interconnects (OI) / Packaging • Aspheres and freeform optics • Biomedical Engineering

Services • Implementation of TPP manufacturing processes • Prototyping and small series production • Construction of TPP equipment

Current top technologies: Manufacture of arbitrarily shaped 3D free-form surfaces and structures over several orders of magnitude, with a focus on optical interconnects (OI), and micro-optics.

Lock and Key Biosciences GmbH

Our Vision: Lock & Key Biosciences GmbH aims to empower the fine chemical industry with innovative and practical biocatalytic technologies of unprecedented reactivity and efficiency. We have gathered the skills and assets to rapidly transform cutting-edge discoveries into ready-to-use biocatalytic methods for chiral synthesis. Producing enzymes, or any protein of interest for that matter, has its own challenges. While recombinant protein expression is a standardised tool, using it to produce toxic proteins is difficult. Additionally, many proteins may aggregate when produced at non-physiological levels, hampering yields. Improving yields, purity or even unlocking access to previously unobtainable POIs can accelerate and enhance biological or biochemical research and applications. Lock & Key Biosciences GmbH is working to arm scientists with the tools and methods to help express and isolate challenging POIs. We are developing novel expression systems using our decades of experience handling proteins, to complement routine expression protocols in E. coli.

We adapt and license our technologies to fit your specific needs, and we also conduct tailored biocatalytic syntheses. The abilities of our exclusive technologies are showcased in our portfolio of chiral products, available for purchase.
