Envue is a young company from Sweden founded at Chalmers University of Technology in 2020. Initially it was started as a collaboration between students from Chalmers School of Entrepreneurship and researches from the Langhammer group at the division of Chemical Physics. Now we are growing into a company with the goal of enabling a brand new technology to a wider audience.
We are developing a new microscope. We are convinced that there are many applications for our microscope. Right now we are investigating the following areas: Molecular weight determination, Molecular interactions, Molecular conformation studies, Single particle counting, Diffusivity determination
Glassomer GmbH
Structuring of glass is challenging and usually requires high temperatures to shape a glass melt or aggressive chemicals for etching of microstructures. Glassomer is a silica nanocomposite which comes as a liquid or a solid. As a liquid Glassomer (e.g. Glassomer L50) can be structured by room temperature replication or stereolithography 3D printing. As a solid Glassomer can be structured using classical subtractive structuring technologies like drilling, milling, lathing or simply carving with a knife. It can further be structured using thermal polymer molding technologies like nanoimprinting, thermoforming or high-throughput roll-to-roll replication. A final heat treatment turns the polymeric nanocomposites into high quality fused silica glass. The conversion takes place at 700 °C below the temperature for handling of silica melts (~2000 °C) and thus saves a considerable amount of energy.

In our service branch, we perform contract R&D on mosquito repellents and related products. Biogents is also a consultant on mosquito control for municipalities or hotel industry, among others.
Nanolope
Nanolope PCM is a growing start up about novel thermal energy storage systems based on shape-stabilized phase change materials (ss-PCM) in Saxony-Anhalt, Germany. Phase change materials can store up to 14-times more energy per volume than typical sensible heat storage systems by a simple phase transition from liquid to solid and vice versa. In the past, ss-PCMs had, however, low mechanical stabilities, low thermal energy storage capacities and leakage problems of the liquid PCM. Our team has solved as first company these problems with the development of the novel ss-PCM called Nanolope and, thus, enables the usage of ss-PCM for a broad range of applications, such as in roofs, walls, heaters, PV-systems and in batteries. Our company is currently searching for new partners from industry to construct different prototypes for heat storage, heat to power to heat systems and for cooling applications, such as in battery systems. Our project has won several awards, such as Hugo Junkers Award 2019 and IQ Innovationspreis Mitteldeutschland Award 2020.

Traditionally Lock-in thermography is used in material analysis e.g. for the analysis of lightweight composite materials. The large increase in sensitivity of Lock-in thermography allows the use of the technology in a variety of life-science applications.
