Adden Energy, Inc.
Adden Energy, founded by a team of scientists at Harvard University, is developing and scaling up a brand-new type of solid-state battery. With demonstrated charge times as low as 3 minutes and capacity retention for over 10,000 cycles in a lab-scale cell, Adden Energy is developing cutting edge technologies to enable mass adoption of EVs around the world and contribute greatly to a cleaner future.
HyDepot GmbH
HyDepot GmbH researches and develops large-scale stationary and mobile hydrogen storage systems based on an innovative and patented technology.
OneD Battery Sciences
In 2013, OneD Battery Sciences acquired Nanosys’ nanowire technologies (SINANODE) and its Palo Alto R&D activities.
Today, OneD operates a SINANODE pilot production to support the development of advanced electrochemical cells and the production scale up of its industrial partners.
Building upon over a decade of R&D, Yimin Zhu, PhD, OneD’s CTO, leads a team that continues to improve the SINANODE manufacturing processes that redefine the potential of lithium ion batteries in electric vehicles.
OneD partners with leading material suppliers, battery makers, and their customers to scale up production and accelerate market adoption to meet current and future market demand.
The SINANODE processes are optimized to enable large scale manufacturing of high performance anode materials at competitive cost, and to ensure compatibility with the processes of current and future EV cell factories.
GENSORIC GMBH
Gensoric GmbH is a unique technology and solution provider which opens-up new ways in electrochemical analysis and synthesis.
Its innovative and broadly protected ThermaLab® technology helps define temperature as another degree of freedom in chemical processes and reactions. This platform technology, which is backed by more than 20 years of research excellence and described in more than 50 peer reviewed papers and journal articles, provides not only direct control of this parameter. It also facilitates completely new synthesis processes & analysis methods, devices, and applications in all fields of chemistry in which temperature should be taken into account.
The main features of the ThermaLab® technology:
- Acceleration of chemical reactions by up to 100% with each 10 K temperature increase,
- Increased signal intensity by factor 100 and more (analytical procedures),
- Chemical reactions at and far above the specific boiling point without causing the entire solution to boil,
- Thermally induced micro stirring effect, making rotating disc electrodes or other mechanical agitation techniques become obsolete
Concrete Examples:
- Enhancing electrochemical analysis methods (voltammetry, amperometry, potentiometric titration,
chronopotentiometric stripping analysis),
- Accelerating, and, simultaneously, raising the accuracy of bio-molecule detection
(DNA, RNA, Proteins)
Our devices are compatible with already existing lab infrastructure (esp. potentiostats)
Polytives GmbH
At Polytives, we develop novel additives for plastics. Our additives are based on the use of (highly) branched polymers, which can be used to adjust material properties such as viscosity, polymerization shrinkage or elasticity. The additives that Polytives produces can be used in more than 2/3 of the polymers currently used in the plastics industry. They can therefore be used in a variety of ways and open up new possibilities, with very good manageability, new possibilities in plastics production.
Fluence Analytics
Fluence Analytics is a manufacturer of industrial and laboratory monitoring solutions that produce continuous data streams. The company has two product lines, ACOMP and ARGEN. Combined with powerful, proprietary analytical tools, the confluence of data from our measurements enable realtime optimization leading to improved process control and faster R&D for polymer and biopharmaceutical manufacturers.
Fluence Analytics, formerly Advanced Polymer Monitoring Technologies (APMT), was founded in 2012. The company rebranded as Fluence Analytics in 2017 to emphasize its focus on continuous process analytics and to better reflect its vision for the future of polymer and biopharmaceutical manufacturing.
Sironix Renewables
Sironix Renewables is a seed-stage company developing environmentally friendly and safe chemicals from plants to be used for industrial consumer products.
Quino Energy
Quino Energy is a California-based clean-tech company developing redox-flow batteries for grid-scale energy storage, based on an innovative water-based organic chemistry. Quino aims to develop affordable, reliable, and completely non-flammable batteries that will facilitate the broader adoption of intermittent renewable energy sources like solar and wind.
carbonauten GmbH
We develop, produce, refine and market biocarbons, decentralized and in industrial dimensions.
For this we only use residues of biomass. These come from agriculture and forestry, the wood, recycling and food industries. Our biocarbons are usually made of biochar, but can also be made from problematic substances from the recycling and disposal industry.
We supply the certified, specified and batch biocarbons in various markets as bio-activated carbon, bio-feed coal, biochar coal, as auxiliaries for biogas plants and soils.
Innovative products such as organic wood biofuels replace fossil cokes, insulation and packaging materials, lightweight and mold construction, and architectural and construction applications.
E-Lyte Innovations GmbH
Our company was founded in May 2019, as a start-up, from the battery research center MEET of the Westfälische Wilhelms-Universität (WWU) Münster. Furthermore, E-Lyte is funded by the pre-seed program EXIST Forschungstransfer, which is funded by the German Federal Ministry for Energy and Economics and the European Social Fund. E-Lyte Innovations GmbH develops and produces pioneering electrolytes for modern energy storage technologies in Germany with regard to specific requirements.
