refuel.green consulting & technologies GmbH

refuel.green is one of the world's most innovative start-ups in the field of e-fuels. Founded in Dresden in 2021, the team of ca. 10 engineers and entrepreneurs is committed to making a decisive contribution to a CO2-neutral global economy. Specifically, the innovative, plasmacatalysis-based "NextGen-PtX Reactor Unit" is being developed, built and marketed. In line with its holistic value proposition, the refuel.green GmbH also supports its customers with consulting on the technically and economically optimal integration of the units into existing production plants or into new projects. Thanks to this overall offer, refineries, for example, can convert their business operations, which are currently dependent on fossil crude oil, to the production of CO2-neutral, renewable e-fuels in a particularly competitive manner.

Batene GmbH

After eight years of research at the Max Planck Society, Batene GmbH was founded in March 2022 by a team of experienced scientists. The Max Planck Society has developed an IP-protected core technology based on fleece and exclusively licensed it to Batene. The Max Planck Society is a shareholder of Batene.

Today’s complex packaging of battery cells, based on thin layers and stacking technology, is dramatically resource-wasting and causes batteries to underperform and to be less safe than they could be. We are launching the transition from 2D foil current collectors, used in today’s lithium-ion-batteries, to fleece current collectors. Our technology fleece provides a disruptive innovation for state-of-the-art and emerging battery technologies. batene fleece increases energy density of lithium-ion-batteries and enables extreme fast charging.

Our battery technology fleece aims to take electric energy storage to the next level. We strive to accelerate the transformation from a fossil fuel-based to a CO2-free economy and to contribute significantly to the availability of sustainable energy, when and where it is needed.

Multiphoton Optics GmbH

Multiphoton Optics GmbH, a wholly owned subsidiary of Heidelberg Instruments Mikrotechnik GmbH, is an innovative solution provider and global manufacturer for 3D Laser Lithography Equipment for additive, subtractive and ablative manufacturing processes based on Two-Photon-Polymerization (TPP) technology. This disruptive technology enables the production of complex functional structures in micro-optics and micro-system technology, optical packaging, micro-mechanics, and biomedical engineering.

The 3D printing plattform enables the highly-precise production of complex functional structures with the highest throughput in one single process step. Other advantages are the resolution in the sub-micron range, the high quality of optical components, accuracy and scalability, integration into nano- and micro-fabrication processes, printing of optical components, and on-device printing: structures can be printed directly on active (LEDs, photodiodes, EELs, VCSELs) or passive (fibers, irregular substrates) components.

The realization of completely new designs, the further miniaturization and the rationalization of manufacturing processes significantly accelerate the market launch of products and, thus, unlock significant cost savings for customers.

Main activities: • 3D Lithography via Two-Photon Polymerization (TPP) • Optical Interconnects (OI) / Packaging • Aspheres and freeform optics • Biomedical Engineering

Services • Implementation of TPP manufacturing processes • Prototyping and small series production • Construction of TPP equipment

Current top technologies: Manufacture of arbitrarily shaped 3D free-form surfaces and structures over several orders of magnitude, with a focus on optical interconnects (OI), and micro-optics.

n.able GmbH

n.able GmbH was founded in 2019 as a spin-off at Institute of Nanotechnology, Karlsruhe Institute of Technology. We are a young team of scientists and business professional with more than 10 years of experience in the field of surface functionalization in the micro- and nano-scale. We have developed our Molecular Printer with scientists in mind for fast, automated and multifunctional deposition of inks on various surfaces.

Our molecular printer offers great possibilities for the fabrication of functional arrays, molecular sensors and lab-on-a-chip platforms. It is a powerful tool for biological, medical research and material science as well as fast prototyping. Switchover between various printing modes allows for a high degree of flexibility during sample or device fabrication. Automation of printing of single or multiplexed patterns makes our printer very easy to operate.
