Kipp & Zonen provides scientific solutions to the meteorology, climatology, agronomy, hydrology, public health, renewable energy, environmental and industrial markets for the measurement of solar radiation and atmospheric properties. We design, manufacture, and sell world-wide, instruments for the measurement of solar radiation, from the Ultraviolet to the Far Infrared, including sun trackers and accessories. The Brewer Spectrophotometer, Scintillometers, Sky Radiometers, Temperature Profilers and LIDAR Systems all form part of our Atmospheric Science Instruments range; and we market a range of data acquisition and recording products, with and without paper charts. Kipp & Zonen offers the most complete integrated range available of high quality instrumentation and support services for our target markets.
opti-color Meß- und Regelanlagen GmbH
Opti-color manufactures and designs measuring and control units as well as systems and solutions for the handling and control of liquids. Additionally we develop and offer optimized solutions e.g. for special cleaning and maintenance tasks and dosing systems for liquid components.
EnzyScreen BV
EnzyScreen BV is specialised in the development, and production of miniaturised growth systems to be used in biotechnology labs. A second activity is the screening for enzyme activities, especially P450s, other oxygenases and dehydrogenases. The company was founded in 2001 by Wouter Duetz and Bernard Witholt as a spin-off company from the Institute of Biotechnology of the ETH Zurich.
Activity one:
EnzyScreen designs, manufactures, and supplies tools and equipment for the high-quality growth and screening of large collections in microtiter plates
Also, Enzyscreen assists companies and research institutes with the implementation of this technology platform (on a consultancy basis)
Activity two:
Enzyscreen performs (on a contract basis) highly sensitive and high-throughput analysis by LC-MS, e.g. for natural compounds, metabolites, drug-residues, etc. Projects on natural compounds are usually done together with a number of other specialised companies brought together in the consortium PRISNA.

Foss A/S
FOSS was founded in 1956 as N. Foss Electric A/S by Nils Foss. His business plan was to automate otherwise time-consuming analytical methods by offering a fast and cost efficient method of analysis - a principle that still holds true today. The first instruments were developed to test moisture in grain. These were followed by analytical solutions for the dairy industry - a major business area for FOSS alongside a growing range of other application areas.
In 1997, FOSS acquired Perstorp Analytical AB, which included Tecator AB and NIRSystems Inc. This added substantial strength in reference analysis methods and in grain, flour and feed.
