Polymeric foams have excellent properties and functions like damping, cushioning, insulating or simply sparing material. The light and bulky foams are however very hard or impossible to recycle and mostly not biodegradable. This is especially alarming for fast disposables.
We believe in a future of recycling and renewable resources. This is why we started screening different kinds of waste streams and their components and thinking of how to foam them. Today, Groam has a vision of creating foams based on agricultural waste streams at the same performance and price as today’s foams. In the future, Groam plans to establish connections with agricultural waste stream producers and converters to develop a whole new supply chain connecting the food and polymeric foam industry and bringing impactful products to the consumers.
