BluAct Technologies GmbH

BluAct is a revolutionary company focused on the purification of water through nano-filtration. We have uncovered new science for the removal of undesirable or harmful contaminants. Researchers have long sought a method to efficiently remove all contaminants from water, and now BluAct finally provides the answer.

The nanotechnology laboratory at BluAct has discovered that a unique combination of protein and carbon ingredients, when compressed into a membrane, will remove virtually all impurities to nearly 100% levels as water passes through its proprietary membrane at very low pressures.

BluAct membranes can be used effectively as an integral step in the purification of drinking water, as well as for the treatment of all types of wastewater. It can also serve as a method of reclaiming valuable metal ions from water such as gold, palladium, and platinum.

Magnes AG

Magnes is a spinoff from the Institute of Robotics and Intelligent Systems of ETH Zurich. Magnes has developed a disruptive real-life-monitoring solution to analyze walk patterns of patients with neurological disorders. It is the only solution giving direct haptic feedback to patients. Using smart sensors embedded in sneaker-like shoes we collect data while the patient is walking or doing daily activities. Our AI processes the data to generates automatic reports and provide the patient with direct feedback on their gait or warn/prevent situations like falling. Our technology can change the way clinical trials are performed today and improve efficacy by enabling data driven therapy through tailored medication dosage.

ELDICO Scientific AG

ELDICO Scientific AG (The Electron Diffraction Company) is a Swiss technology and service company founded in 2019 and based in the Switzerland Innovation Park Innovaare at the Paul Scherrer Institute (PSI), a world-leading research institute for natural sciences and engineering. ELDICO develops, manufactures and commercializes electron diffractometers , i.e. novel analytical instruments for electron based crystallography, enabling to investigate nano-crystalline samples. ELDICO will launch the first instrument specifically designed for nano-crystallographic investigations. Proof-of-concept was achieved in 2018 (ETH Zurich, C-CINA Basel) as part of a Nano-Argovia project of the Swiss Nanoscience Institute (SNI). It was published in 2018 and awarded Top 5 "Breakthrough of the Year 2018" by the leading science magazine SCIENCE. In 2020 among other public recognitions on Swiss and EU level, ELDICO took 2nd place in the prestigious Pioneer Prize awarded by Technopark Zurich and the Zürcher Kantonalbank (ZKB). ELDICO's clients are industrial and academic researchers in large and fast growing industries such as the pharmaceutical industry, the electromobility, and the advanced materials / MOF sector. The company partners with leading engineering companies and component suppliers among Dectris, Excillum and SmarAct to deliver superior performance.

KUORI GmbH

Our Mission: The cleantech start-up KUORI develops and sells circular, innovative materials that are produced with the help of food side streams such as banana peel or nutshells.

In the spirit of the circular economy, KUORI materials should be both elastic, of biological origin and biodegradable. Their first application is in shoe soles, where they prevent the harmful abrasion of microplastics into soil and water.
