Incoatec GmbH

Incoatec is located in Geesthacht near Hamburg and was founded in 2002 by scientists from the GKSS Research Centre together with Bruker AXS in Karlsruhe, one of the leading producers of X-ray analytical equipment. Incoatec develops and manufactures ultraprecise thin films according to clientspecific requirements, using modern coating technology like magnetron sputtering. Our main products include X-ray optics for in-house crystallography and synchrotron applications in the fields of materials research and life science. Beside optics we offer the Incoatec Microfocus Source IµS, a 30W aircooled microfocus sealed tube with high brilliance. Included is the 2-dimensional beam shaping multilayer optics Quazar, for focussing or collimating of X-rays. This system has a performance much better than sealed tubes and comparable with 4-5 kW types of rotating anodes. Applications are high-resolution X-ray diffraction, microbeam diffraction, small angle X-ray scattering and single crystal diffractometry.
