The company METAX was founded in 1985 in Schöneck as a GmbH with the business areas "mechanical seals" and "all steel membrane couplings". In the 90s the sealing program was complemented by the product lines "rotary joints" and "hydraulic seals", whereby the core competence in sealing technologies was expanded.

As a manufacturer we are well grounded in the calculation and design of our products. Our own construction and product development as well as the high in-house production depth on our site as owner-managed company are the basis of our business success.

We are certified according DIN EN 9001:2008 and EN ISO 13485:2003 and attach importance to the consequent realisation of our quality goals which is ensured by a continuous education and training of our employees.
